It was always going to take an album to allow New World Aquarium to really shine. Skip the slightly ponderous opener ‘The Force’ and allow yourself fully immersed in their deep, fluid take on spaced-out house: the lazy title track, with its hazy spoken vocal and crystalline synths; the deep house warmth of ‘Avon Sparkle’ and the Moodyman-aping disco jam ‘Kirana’s Lament’ all stand out. Pay attention to this one. You get what you give. (8/10) (BO’D)
